I knew I was forgetting something from my previous post--I picked up Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! I quit playing it about a year ago because the constant event grinding was just too much, but now that it's an offline version with no micro-transactions it's much nicer to just casually play. And I had a little over 6 bucks in Google Play...points things, whatever, so I paid less than $5 out of pocket for it.

It's been worth it I think, it's a lot more chill than before. They include the previously paid-only features of having a camp helper and stuff, and it's a lot easier to get the "premium" currency aka what replaced leaf tickets. (I'm so mad at myself though I didn't bother logging in before the game shut down to spend my remaining leaf tickets and they didn't convert into anything so they were just wasted!! I had a whole bunch left too. 😠)

Anyway!! If anyone's playing, drop me your player card! I spent like an hour earlier just assembling various outfits so I've got 10 options for you here if you want to add me lol.







I had a lot of really good hair options I wanted to use but I made myself stop sjhdfkjshfd I think 10 outfits is plenty!! But the majority of my leaf tickets when I was active was spent on clothing items rather than scenery/building items so I have a lot of junk lmao...

Wolf buddies, whoo! It's definitely nicer to be able to just log in once or twice a day, and not be pressed if I miss event items or whatever lmao.

I also lost interest pretty quick because of all the grinding but I might give it a try again now that there's no microtransactions. I know that game devs gotta get paid but I'd rather buy a game outright for $60 than be constantly nudged into paying $3 here and there, you know?

Yeah normally I'm good at just ignoring paid stuff in mobile games, but I got so tired of the grind I actually did pay for the camp caretaker perk a couple times lol. Granted it was free Google money, but still. Thankfully this version includes those previously paid-only perks!!

I think they're doing a discount price until the end of January, after which is goes up to 20 bucks (USD). Which seems way too expensive to me for a mobile game sjdkfshkf

They're all so cute ! I added the mermaid one 🩵 I played a lot when the game was released but stopped when they introduced the fortune cookies. I started a new game when the complete edition was released and I love this so much more ! It's perfect to just play on my breaks. Here's mine if you want to see.

The quality of life improvements they made since the game first came out have definitely made playing a lot less annoying.
