Haven't had much to post about lately here. For a while my free time was just me rewatching The Good Place and Arcane, and finishing my Yuletide fic. Then after that it was playing catch up on the things I had put off doing while I'd been watching TV and writing instead. At least I'm all set for Christmas, though I keep thinking I want to make gingerbread cookies and still haven't done it. Really I just want to EAT gingerbread cookies without the making part, so that's been the main hindrance lol. I'm just not meant to be baking things that have a 20-step process smh.
The last of the packages I was waiting for arrived all at once, so now I'm swimming in excess stationery (my Christmas presents to myself lmao). I got the cuuutest notebook + matching memo pads/washi from an artist on Etsy, and a set of space-themed notebooks made by a different artist.

The rabbit airmail bundle was absolutely an impulse purchase but that notebook is SO stinking cute, I'm a sucker for rabbits and anything mail-themed, for some reason?? Idk I just love stuff that looks like postage stamps, or is airmail themed, or whatever. The washi tape is super adorable too! No idea what I'm going to do with this notebook but I'll figure it out!! I also bought a mystery sticker grab bag and this celestial whale sticker sheet too, everything was super adorable!
The space notebooks I was specifically looking for something like that to use as a reading journal for this previous year. I have a notepad I bought from a local artist that has a reading journal type layout on the pages and I've been filling out the sheets while I read, but I wanted someplace to paste them all together so it wouldn't just be a plain notepad held loosely together by a thin layer of...glue or whatever holds notepads together. I'm gonna try my hand at doing some of the typical reading journal page layouts too, like bests of the month, those bookshelves people always draw, etc.
So yeah the sun-moon one on top was perfect but it only came in a three pack, so I'm probably going to use the constellation one as a recipe book because I've been telling myself for ages I need to write down my parents' recipes. (My dad doesn't write anything down and half my mom's recipes are in Arabic or physically falling apart or both lmao.) I gotta kick myself into gear on that!! As for the text-covered notebook, that one's not too exciting, I'll just use it for notes or whatever.
I also got a huge bundle of misc kawaii-type stickers/washi/memo sheets/etc from some reseller lmao I didn't take photos because there was a LOT but it pretty much has got me set for journal decorations for months.
I told myself no more purchases this month, but I'm only 200 stupid coins away from being able to afford the Cardboard D.Va skin in Overwatch that I want sooo bad (look at her!!!) but I don't want to give them any money. 😠 I wish you could buy the damn skin alone without the bundle items jacking up the price... So I guess I'll see which is stronger, Cardboard D.Va's cuteness or me not wanting to give Blizzard $5 lmao.
But that's enough complaining!! I hope everyone has a good Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year's, in case I don't update before then! ♥

How many stickers did you get in the grab bag? I've seen a few of those on Etsy but haven't taken the plunge in buying one since I'm trying to be responsible for now.

I bought several different grab bags from this person so there was a variety. They were having a big sale for Black Friday which definitely factored into how much I ordered jshdfksjf but they had a bunch of different sized packs of stationery stuff. It was definitely dangerous to discover people sell stuff like this because I love mystery bags and having a wide variety of things to select from while decorating, and this combines both of those...

I cannot judge you for going a little crazy with Black Friday sales as I went a little crazy myself on Etsy. Those stickers look super cute! I've never bought a mystery bag before… but if you found it was filled with good stuff, maybe I'll have to give it a go. 👀 Enjoy your stickers!

But yeah I think there was a decent amount of stuff I'll use! I'd say if you look at the listing photos and any photos other buyers post you can get an idea if a grab bag will have an aesthetic you like.

Yeah I always hated the fact you had to buy Overwatch skins. So annoying. They're so awesome, but stupid Blizzard!

As someone who was in-game rich enough in OW1 to buy any new skins I wanted when the events rolled around, I was soooo pissed at the switch to OW2 being microtransaction hell...... They will never catch me spending $20+ on a skin. Unfortunately I did cave and buy the $5 coin pack to get the last few coins needed to get the D.Va skin 😑
