Spent most of last week being sick, so that was fun. I had already scheduled a half day Monday because of an afternoon appointment, and I had taken Tuesday off for working Saturday, and good thing I did because I was already feeling pretty gross by Tuesday afternoon. Ended up taking off the rest of the week, which was nice in that I wasn't working, but also not great because sick. I'd taken a COVID test but it came out negative so god only knows what weird illness I had. I would've guessed the flu but I never had a fever so ??? But I'm feeling better now thankfully! A lot of last week was spent either napping or reading, which was nice if very unproductive lmao.


I've been severely slacking off on playing DAI because I got back into Overwatch aaarrghhh. So much free time now absorbed back into that dumb game... But oh man the new character Juno is very fun!! I sucked hard as Venture (I suck at DPS in general lol) so I'm glad we got a new support. And she's so cute, her VA is great.

I do still want to finish my DAI replay before Veilguard comes out so I need to stop putting so much time into Overwatch again 😑


I finally watched Inside Out 2 with some friends. I really liked the first movie so I didn't have high expectations for this one, but it was actually better than I expected. Not as good as the first, obviously, I feel like they tried to tackle a little too much at once, but they still made me cry lmao so that's a win for them I guess.

I also watched that new show Kaos on Netflix, a dark comedy modern reimagining of Greek myth with Jeff Goldblum as Zeus. It's only one season and of course ends in a bit of a cliffhanger with no confirmed season 2 lmaooo so I'm not expecting a conclusion. (I just found out they cancelled Dead Boy Detectives after one season too, I am coming for these Netflix execs with a gun I swear to god.)

But the story is a mash-up of the Eurydice and Orpheus myth and stuff with Minos and his family, both tied into an overarching plot where Zeus becomes increasingly paranoid about a prophecy that will supposedly see to his downfall. There's a lot of liberty taken with the myths, it's not a straight adaptation of anything, which I don't mind because I like to see what wacky stuff modern adaptations come up with, whether I think it's a good take or not lol. (Kaos writers I'm also coming for you for your one stupid Hera plot decision 🔫)

The casting is fun and there's some gay stuff, thank god because who's doing Greek myth adaptations these days without some gay stuff smh. Dionysus was my favorite because Dio's always my favorite, but I do hope we get a season 2 and we get to see more than the main few Olympians that were in this season. (Yes I am Olympian biased I will not apologize. Though my main man since my youth has always been Charon because I was a very weird child; he exists in this season so I don't have to demand his inclusion.)

Thank you! ♥ I very rarely get sick so I pretty much never get an excuse to use my sick days, which like, not that I WANT to be sick lmao but...all that time off work I could be using if only I had a reason sjhdfksjhfs

I cried watching Inside Out too lol. And nobody should be productive when they're recovering from illness.

Inside Out was sooo good, that's why I expected the sequel to just be some dumb cash grab lmao but I'm glad it wasn't terrible. They got some real emotions out of me once again!

And that's true haha, I suppose to me "productive" means like, playing the video game I'm attempting to finish before the end of October sjfhsjdfsf I can't even do that apparently!

I'm sorry that you were sick but I'm glad that you're feeling better now and that you were able to rest up last week.

I want to watch Inside Out 2 but haven't gotten around to it yet! Good to know it is enjoyable. :D

Reaper's Anubis skin got me back to the install button but I ended up not logging in yet. It's tempting but it's been so long I'm afraid I'll have no idea what's going on. I don't know what Mauga, the diggy one, or Juno even do T_T. But their character designs are still so nice. Bliz always seems to get it right with the design.

Netflix has been pushing Kaos on me kind of hard. I feel like Blood of Zeus + Schitts Creek kid of puts me in the target demographic? Is it a comedy?

Every time there's a new character I go into training mode, read the ability blurbs, try them out for 5 minutes, then say fuck it and queue into a regular game sjdfhskfjs There's a new map mode too I sort of just wandered into, but it's pretty fun! I am not good with Mauga or Venture at all but it seems like enemy Ventures are always obliterating me so I want to give them a try again and see if I can get any better. You definitely won't be any worse than everyone else that ends up on my team if you just hop back in lmaooo

God, Kaos does kind of feel like if you made Blood of Zeus for the Schitts Creek crowd sjhfsjfsf. It's a comedy but like a black comedy, so there's a serious plot going on and people die but Jeff Goldblum's there. Is basically the vibe.

Ugh, sorry to hear you spent so much of the week sick! I'm glad you're feeling better, at least. Though I've heard that some of the older COVID tests don't always catch the newer strains, so I wonder if that's what it was?

I do not pay much attention to Netflix originals at all, but Kaos sounds very much up my alley, so I think I'll give it a go haha.

Thank you ♥ And huh that could be it because it definitely wasn't a new test. I initially thought it was just a cold and I guess it COULD still have been a bad cold, but who knows. Thankfully I was able to stay home either way.

Unfortunately I keep watching Netflix originals despite them canceling everything I've ever enjoyed. :| But definitely share your thoughts if you do watch it!
