Sooo much Dragon Age is happening right now, I can't believe I'm excited about a DA game again after all these years sjdfhskjfs. I didn't watch all the Veilguard gameplay reveal stuff but the trailers look fun and I'm definitely interested in the characters 👀 Lucanis, Neve, and Bellara are probably my favorites at the moment (given the limited info) but everyone looks really good. And apparently we're visiting Rivain as well as Tevinter which are the two places I wanted in a game so that's cool. Obviously the quality of the story and writing will remain to be seen, but I am tentatively excited...
All the DA hype of course has me wanting to replay the old games, and the Steam gods heard my prayers because the entire series is 90% off on Steam right now!! So I snagged Origins, DA2, and Inquisition for 10 bucks total which is a steaaal please go get these games if you've never played DA before. Especially DA2 which is my favorite and the best of the bunch and I'll die on that hill no hesitation.
But despite that I'm actually starting Inquisition right now lmao I only ever played that game once when it first came out (female Qunari mage inquisitor who romanced Josephine) so I'm finally doing a second playthrough. I spent far too long in the character creator and even then gave up about halfway because I have no patience for tweaking all those little sliders lmao but! Here is the result:
His name is Aimeric! I'm playing a rogue this time and finally doing the Dorian romance I intended to do like ten years ago and never got around to lmao. He ended up being pastier than I expected outside the character creator sjhdfksjhfs when the sun shines on him he's like bright white, thanks DAI. Still working on what I want his personality to be like, I sort of naturally gravitate toward purple Hawke type responses lol but since my Qunari mage was a bit on the goody two-shoes side I'll probably go opposite that for Aimeric.
I only played a little bit past the prologue for now, I'm abysmal at controlling things with keyboard and mouse so I'm going to have to fight Steam to recognize my PS4 controller I think. Chatting with Solas at Haven is so funny because his approval keeps going up and down as I ask him questions and then am mean to him with my responses.
Anyway who else is getting back into Dragon Age because of all this lol anyone doing any replays? Playing for the first time? Thoughts on the Veilguard reveals? Talk to me about your Wardens/Hawkes/Inquisitors 👀

i have replayed inquisition so many times and it's probably tied for my least favorite anyway that i'll hold off with the game coming out in a few months. i'm pretty fond of my elf inky though (solasmancer, ofc) so i'm excited to create her again with perhaps a sexy af glowup, like you're missing out buddy, chose the veil over her ass!! 🫵

YES omg and the fact there's no undo button so if you move a slider and don't like it you just sort of have to put it back as close as you can to where it was? BUT WHILE THE MODEL IS MOVING THE WHOLE TIME. whose idea was that jshdfkjsfhsk
I'm a very slow gamer so I rarely replay things anymore, but I at least got a couple playthroughs of DAO and DA2 in! DAI is my least favorite of the three as well tbh but I'm hoping this replay will at least endear it to me a little more haha.
Nothing will top DA2 though, I can't comprehend DA2 haters........are some reused dungeons truly enough to blind you to the perfection that is the DA2 cast and the wildness of the DA2 storyline...... baffling to me!!

yeah whoever came up with the whole cc vibe and sliders certainly hated the players at the time, i don't know how no one said wait, this is such a shit idea guys
that never bothered me i mean at least the game had enough content where it mattered compared to dai having empty large land with the same annoying fetch quests...... for one HAHA
