fandoms
At the moment, you can check out my tumblr or media tracker for the best way to see what series/fandoms I'm currently into even if I'm not specifically posting about them here. I tend to gravitate toward sci-fi, fantasy, romance, and historical genres, but I enjoy the occasional mystery, action, or comedy series too.

What's one thing (game, anime, hobby, etc.) you're really into right now?
no subject
Hmmm, right now I am playing Assassin's Creed Shadows, anime would be Gachiakuta, and for hobbies I am reading. Was sewing but ran out of projects and material.
What about you? What are you into at this moment?
no subject
What's your current read? I'm in the middle of The Strength of the Few (the sequel to The Will of the Many which I really enjoyed) but it's a long book and I'm a slow reader.
no subject
I've heard of Metaphor: ReFantazio but haven't gotten around to getting the game. Have you played it before?
Right now I am reading 'The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue' and 'Tender is the Flesh'.
You'll have to tell me how 'The Strength of the Few' is? sounds like an interesting read.
I also want to re-read 'Frankenstein' after watching del Toro's movie :D
no subject
I've heard of both those books but haven't read either. I feel like V.E. Schwab is always highly recommended but I don't think I've read anything by her at all.
I'm about halfway through The Strength of the Few but I'm enjoying it! If you don't mind starting an in progress series with an unknown number of books lol I definitely recommend checking out The Will of the Many.
no subject
I'd love to read what you think of Metaphor. It's on my to-get list but it's fun to read what others have to say.
So far I really like her book. I'd recommend it if you like a bit of magic and romance. I will add The Will of the Many to my list, it sounds like it's right up my alley :D
What genres of books do you gravitate towards?
no subject
I usually read any combo of fantasy, historical, romance, and/or sci-fi. Top tier mashup is a fantasy historical romance haha. I read graphic novels a lot too. What about you, what's your faves?
no subject
Combo reads are so much fun! I'm not big on romance but I do like fantasy, historical, suspense, paranormal and psychological thrillers. The only graphic novels I read are manga lol I'm a big fan of Owari no Seraph, love me some vampires haha. I do have a fav light novel though, Baccano! There just something about it that resonates with me. Can't say what but there is something there. What are your fav graphic novels?
What kind of music do you like?
no subject
oh I haven't read the light novels but I loooove the Baccano! anime, one of my top 5 faves I think. and hmm it's hard to pick faves but I really like the Nimona comic (and the movie too) and Saga is probably my current favorite ongoing series. but there's a lot of random standalone graphic novels I've enjoyed.
lmao mostly I listen to kpop these days and I've gotten back into Vocaloid hdsjsdhf but I enjoy pop, indie, rock, edm type stuff in general. I was a big Florence and the Machine, Marina and the Diamonds, The Hush Sound, etc girlie back in the day. I mean I still am lol but lately if I'm listening to something new it's probably kpop. how about you?
no subject
Yeah!!! another Baccano! fan XD I was reading lately that Ryohgo Narita is going to try to finish the series soon. I'm glad to hear he is doing better. Being that sick is just awful!
I will have to look into Nimona and Saga, this is the first time hearing of them. What genre are they?
I love Marina! She had some really good tunes back in the day. OMG I feel so old now lol Oh gosh my music taste is everywhere. I really like TMRevolution, if it wasn't for his songs I wouldn't have been introduced to Jpop. I do like Jrock, V-kei, pop, classical and phonk (recently). I don't really have fav artists I just listen to whatever speaks to me and makes me fell happy. Have you heard of Epic of Zetcbach? I was big on that music for a long time.
no subject
Nimona originated as a webcomic which is how I originally read it, but I think the site is no longer up now that it's officially published. But it's a YA science-fantasy about a shapeshifter who teams up with a disgraced knight in his quest to take down an organization called the Institute that he was expelled from. The movie has a similar setup but a different plot; it's lighter than the comic and they have a different vibe, but I really enjoyed both versions!
Saga is an ongoing sci-fi comic by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples that starts with a couple from two warring races fleeing the war with their newborn daughter (who isn't allowed to exist as a child of both species). The comic's been publishing since 2012 so a ton more stuff happens, but it's got a lot of cool characters and wild twists.
I used to listen to a lot of jpop/jrock in high school! Gackt, An Cafe, Malice Mizer, Dir En Grey, L'Arc-en-Ciel, etc haha. I've never heard of Epic of Zetcbach, what is it?
no subject
I saw Nimona the movie, it was really good. I'll be on the hunt for the comic now. It had some good/fun vibes.
I think I saw Saga in our local bookstore but I never did pick it up to properly look at it. will do next time i go.
Dir en Grey was my jam, I was such a weirdo as a kid. I listed to everything no one else was listening do. Did you also listen to Nightmare? they were another band I really liked. I think I still have some of their music videos on a drive somewhere.
Epic of Zektbach had a whole storyline along with the music. It is mostly classical-electronic musical compositions. There are various stories, or chapters, for each music type but essentially the stories are set in a fantasy world. It's hard to explain, it's more of an experience than anything else. if you get a chance to listen to it let me know what you think.
no subject
I don't think I listened to Nightmare, though looking at their Wiki page I see they did the Death Note opening/ending so I have heard some of their stuff.
Oh that's cool, I actually love stuff that mixes classical/electronic music so I'll have to give it a look sometime.
no subject
Nightmare was big back in the day. The band that really got me into Jrock/Vkei was Luzmelt, they no longer are together but I loved their style and music.
Let me know what you think of zektbach when you get the chance to listen to it.
How has your 2026 been so far?
