Your main fandom last year?
Arcane! The fandom really exploded after season 2 aired at the end of 2024 and I just kinda coasted through 2025 on that wave lol.
Your favorite movie watched last year?
The Wild Robot, perhaps? Mother-child relationships in fiction always get me which is so funny because I don't have or want kids.

To Clutch a Razor!! The sequel to that When Among Crows novella you will always see me harp on about whenever I can.

Heated Rivalry lmao. I didn't watch a ton of TV this year. I really enjoyed HR though! Excited for another season.

I only completed *checks notes* 4 games last year so Clair Obscur is going to have to take this one.

I finally watched Pride & Prejudice 2005 for the first time in 2025, so now I understand the internet.
Your biggest fandom disappointment?
Starting off the year with two disappointing sequels I'd been looking forward to; I think Heavenly Tyrant was the bigger disappointment because it just wasn't a very good book. WAIT I ALMOST FORGOT. The Old Guard 2 was so disappointing even though I'd wanted a sequel so bad 😩
Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Jayce Arcane my beautiful wiiiiife. I love him so much I have always been on his side. Season 1 Jayce haters don't deserve him.
Your TV girlfriend of the year?
I already said I didn't watch much TV but in the interest of not picking another Arcane character lmao Yennefer from The Witcher ♥ They need to put her in better outfits again I'm not going to say it twice!!
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
The day I found out When Among Crows was getting a sequel lmao which was right at the beginning of the year so it was all downhill from like day 2 sjhdfsjkfshk
Fandom resolutions for 2026?
Write more fic! I was actually back in the swing of things at the beginning of 2025 but completely stopped by mid-year and didn't write anything else. I've signed up for a small exchange and a reverse big bang thus far, so hopefully that gets me back on track!
Your biggest fannish anticipations for the new year?
New Freya Marske book?? I don't keep up with much news of upcoming releases/forget about them immediately after. Oh is Interview with the Vampire coming back this year? That one!!!

General Thoughts
Well this is a sad state of affairs. Only 13k words and not even 10 fics lmao. My last fic was posted in May 2025 so it's been a while 😔 To nobody's surprise it's mostly Jayvik fic!! The only reason I have non-Arcane fic posted is because I was trying to branch out during last year's 3 sentence fic-a-thon.
I have lots of ideas jotted down from last year, but the prospect of writing any of them out has just felt tiring. And it's not like I'm not writing at all because I've been RPing with a friend this whole time, but I wonder if that sucks up all my writing energy. Then again, we were RPing at the beginning of last year and I still wrote fic then, so! What is the truth!! Why can't fic just leap fully-formed from my head. 😩
